Book Repair Consultation

Regular price $25.00 USD

To ensure dedicated time and preparation, consultations are scheduled with a $25 booking fee.

This booking fee is refundable if you attend your appointment, or may be applied toward conservation treatment if you choose to proceed later. There is no obligation to move forward with conservation work.

How it Works

1. Schedule a Consultation

Book a time that works for you using the "Schedule Your Time" button above.

Consultations take place at:

Kailua Down to Earth Café

573 Kailua Road

A $25 booking fee is collected at the time of scheduling to reserve your appointment.

2. Complete a Short Intake Form

After booking, you'll be asked to share basic details about your book. This allows us to prepare in advance and make the most of our time together.

3. Meet & Discuss Your Book

Bring your book to the consultation. We'll discuss its condition, history, your goals, and possible conservation approaches.

4. Full Examination

To provide accurate recommendations, we take the book with us after the consultation for a detailed, hands-on assessment.

5. Receive a Conservation Plan & Pricing

Following examination, you'll receive a written conservation report outlining treatment options and pricing.

Because every project is unique, estimates are provided only after this assessment.

6. Decide How You'd Like to Proceed

After reviewing the conservation plan, you may decide how you'd like to move forward.

  • If you choose to proceed with treatment, the $25 booking fee may be applied to the total cost.
  • If you decide not to proceed, we'll arrange the return of your book and refund the booking fee.
